CSAP psychiatrists had a strong presence at the California Medical Association’s (CMA) 2026 House of Delegates, with members serving in key leadership roles and advancing important policy resolutions. Notably, Dr. Mina Hah was elected Treasurer of the Specialty Delegation, and Dr. George Fouras presided as Speaker of the House.

Several CSAP-supported resolutions were adopted, addressing cannabis use and brain health, 5150 training, physician peer support, immigration enforcement in healthcare, and human trafficking awareness. The meeting also highlighted CMA’s 2026 legislative accomplishments, including successful efforts to improve physician reimbursement practices and strengthen safeguards for artificial intelligence in healthcare.
