SCPS Art of Psychiatric Medicine Committee

To promote the development of community among psychiatrists through meaningful activities and interactions as it relates to the artistic experience of being a psychiatrist.

As we know, what we do is part science, part art. But as practicing clinicians, there is very little support for the artistic element. At these events various artistic media is employed with the help of guest artists who have expertise in specific areas. Works are collaborative and participants work together on one large-scale project at each event. Discussion of the topic, work, and experience follows.

Final works will be archived for later show and sale in a fundraising effort for non-profit mental health causes in the community. Please contact us for more information.
